World Youth Day
Seoul 2027
WYD is not just a trip: it is an encounter that changes you. You will meet thousands of young people from all over the world, speaking different languages and coming from different cultures, and you will discover something surprising: we are all looking for the same thing. To love for real, to find meaning in life, to live a faith that is more than words.
What is World Youth Day?
The World Youth Day (WYD) is a gathering of young people from around the world with the Pope, established by Saint John Paul II in 1985. It was born from young people's desire to encounter Christ and one another.
Since then, each edition has become a space of joy, prayer, music, encounter between cultures and hope. The first international gathering was held in Buenos Aires in 1987.
Taking part in a WYD means stepping out of routine to live something that leaves a mark on the heart. Sometimes, one encounter can change everything. Do you dare to live WYD?
