Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through identeyouth.org, what we use it for, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. It is written in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian data protection law.
1. Who the data controller is
- Contact email: office@identeyouth.org
For any matter concerning your personal data you can write to that address with “Data protection” in the subject line.
2. What data we collect and why
2.1 Contact form
When you fill in the contact form we collect: your name, email address, country, and optionally your phone number and age, together with the subject of your enquiry and the message you write. The date, time and your IP address are also recorded, for security reasons and to prevent misuse of the form.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to put you in touch with the Idente Youth office in your country.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you tick the box on the form.
- Retention: we keep your message for as long as we are dealing with your enquiry and, after that, for a maximum of two years, in case you get back in touch. After that period we delete it.
- Whether it is mandatory: the fields marked with an asterisk are needed in order to reply to you. Without them we cannot deal with your enquiry.
2.2 Data concerning religious beliefs
Idente Youth is an association of Catholic inspiration. If you contact us in order to take part in our activities, the context itself may reveal information about your religious beliefs, which the GDPR treats as a special category of data.
We process such data solely within our activity as a not-for-profit association with a religious purpose, only in relation to people who approach us on their own initiative, and we do not disclose it to third parties outside the association without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 9(2)(d) GDPR, together with your explicit consent when you submit the form.
2.3 Data concerning minors
Our activities are aimed at young people, who may include minors. If you are under 16, you need permission from your parent or legal guardian before sending us your data. If we find that we have received a minor’s data without that permission, we delete it.
3. Cookies and third-party services
The site uses technical cookies necessary for it to work, which do not require consent. In addition, the following third-party services are loaded, and they may set their own cookies and process data independently:
- Meta Platforms (Facebook). The site loads a script from connect.facebook.net. It may record your visit and link it to your Facebook account if you are logged in. See Meta’s privacy policy.
- YouTube (Google). Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. When you play them, Google may set cookies and collect data about your visit. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. Some pages load typefaces from Google’s servers, which involves transmitting your IP address.
These services may involve transfers of data to the United States. Meta and Google are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, parts of the site may stop working properly.
4. Who else has access to your data
We do not sell or trade your personal data. It may be accessed by:
- Idente Youth staff and volunteers responsible for answering enquiries, and the association’s national offices, when you ask us to put you in touch with the one in your country.
- [[WEB HOSTING PROVIDER]], as a data processor, in its capacity as provider of the server that hosts the site and sends the email.
- Public authorities, where there is a legal obligation to do so.
5. Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
6. Your rights
You can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: to know what data of yours we process.
- Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: to ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction: to ask us to suspend processing in certain cases.
- Portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Objection: to object to processing based on a legitimate interest.
- Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise them, write to office@identeyouth.org. We will reply within one month. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling with your data.
If you believe we have not handled your rights properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our processing activities or the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date shown at the top.
