“He is not here, for he has risen just as he said” –Matthew 28:6
The parishes of St. Dominic’s in the Bronx and Our Lady of Loretto in Hempstead, Long Island both held an Easter party on Holy Saturday with their Idente Youth groups.
In the Bronx, Luz and Br. Rajesh, Idente missionaries, Professor Kristallyn, and junior professors organized a formal lunch, in which teens and their families prepared with love delicious food to share with one another. With the honorable presence of our Idente Youth President Sr. Yerania, this meal was a beautiful union of sisters and brothers. They toasted to Christ, our First-Born Brother, and His spirit was truly among them as they rejoiced in their hearts for His Resurrection.
At Hempstead, Nathalie and Roland, Idente missionaries, held an Idente Youth meeting, beginning with an ice-breaker game and later on an outdoor Easter egg treasure hunt. Teens were divided into small groups and given clues from the Bible to find the treasure. Eagerly, they hunted for their Easter eggs until each one was found. Not even the rain could stop their enthusiasm. Afterwards, the hunt ended with a discussion on the true meaning of Easter and with a meal prepared by the parents of the parish.
There is truly nothing better than sharing Easter together as a family.
