Idente Youth Camp of Peru: United behind an ideal

From January 7 to 15, 2019, the Idente Youth Camp of Peru took place in the warm city of Abancay, 2377 meters above sea level, where rivers, streams and imposing mountains formed the stage to live the spirit of encounter of the young people camping.

During 7 days, the workshops of creation of poetry, painting, pastry, confectionery; the seminars; the excursions, the walks; and the Olympics, became opportunities to live the highest and noblest values proposed by the Idente Youth. Likewise, the Camp Fire, a space to share artistic gifts, was a waste of talent manifested in the interpretation of musical instruments, singing, poetry, magic tricks, jokes, riddles, riddles, and games.

Similarly, with a generous spirit, the young people camping organized a morning of games and surprises for the children of a locality around the city. In this activity, each young person gave the most valuable thing of himself: his virtue; manifested in joy, enthusiasm, simplicity and openness.

During the camp, each youth wore a scarf that attracted the attention of many people from the town of Abancay, among them the pastor of the cathedral, who highlighted the presence of the campers and set the Idente Camp as the intention of the Sunday Mass.

Family, unity, generosity, conviviality, love, were the words manifested by the youth to summarize the camp experience. With this same feeling, they are the ones who now walk through life, living our motto: To God for humanity.
