Spain had a significant participation in the last international session of the World Youth Parliament, held from 6 to 11 August in Beijing, China. Attending as representatives of the different groups in Spain that worked the WYP, 20 young people who together with eighty other boys and girls from 14 countries, a hundred in all, reflected and shared the conclusions of the work done in the WYP during the last three years.
What they did not expect is that at the end of the meeting they would announce such happy news: Madrid will be the next headquarters of WYP Internacional! From now we are preparing with enthusiasm this meeting that will bring together hundreds of young people from different countries to continue reflecting on how to improve our interpersonal relationships.
The theme of China’s WYP has been “A journey called forgiveness.” The next international session will continue to develop the thematic axis: “International relations: the key to a new civilization”.
